LCISD Swimmers and Divers Qualify for State Meet

February 22, 2012
Congratulations to all of the LCISD swimmers and divers who qualified for the Regional Meet. At the meet we had 2 medalists and State Qualifiers; we had 7 individual finalists and 10 relay finalists (Top 8); and 29 individual and 6 relay consolation finalists (9th - 16th places); plus many of the swimmers were in multiple events!

Lamar CISD’s Project L.E.A.R.N is one of five finalists for the first-ever H-E-B Early Childhood Award, part of the grocery chain’s Excellence in Education Awards program. Project L.E.A.R.N. (Let’s Eliminate At-Risk Needs) helps parents become involved in their children’s education and provides homework assistance, tutoring or developmental childcare for children. Foster High School takes Regional Academic Decathlon title

Foster High School is home to the Regional Champions for Academic Decathlon. The team won the Region crown after competing January 20-21 in Porter. The team advances to the State Academic Decathlon Tournament, February 24-25 in San Antonio. Click on Full Story for more information.

Hubenak Elementary Choir Selected to Perform at TMEA Convention

The Hubenak Elementary Choir directed by Angela Ramsey has been selected to perform at the Texas Music Educators Association Clinic and Convention in San Antonio February 9, 2012. Foster High's Marshall Wins Rudy Award

Foster High School senior Addison Marshall is the winner of the 2012 High School Rudy Award. Marshall was featured in the January 15 edition of Parade Magazine. Marshall will be the recipient of a $7,500 college scholarship.
